Some common operating expenses may include: real estate taxes, repairs and maintenance, management fees, insurance, and utilities. Note: "non-recurring" expenses, such as a roof replacement, are typically not included in operating expenses. Operating income, made up of rents, reimbursements, and miscellaneous income, less operating expenses, results in a property's NOI.
